Himalayas and world peace

Bhairav mandir en route to Gangotri
The Himalayas have always been famous for their majestic beauty and impenetrable vastness. But throughout the millennia they have also been revered as the abode and sanctuary for illumined souls and their isolated hermitages, as well as a pilgrimage location where millions continue to flock to the great pilgrimage sites of Badrinath, Kedernath, Gangotri, and Jamunotri.

With this august heritage, the hallowed atmosphere of so many saints and aspirants aspiring for the ultimate goal in life — Brahman Consciousness — the Himalayas have spread an influence of silence, peace and harmony throughout history.

It is no wonder that Maharishi decided to utilise this precious location to powerfully augment his international programs for establishing lasting world peace through the TM and TM-Sidhi programs.

Purusha in the Himalayas

In 1999 he sent the first group of Purusha — established by Maharishi in 1981 as his core group for transforming world consciousness — to Uttarkashi, deep in the Himalayan vastness, to focus entirely on the Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi Program, which have long been proven by over 40 scientific research studies to improve quality of life in collective consciousness.

This is a potent combination — experienced long term practitioners of the TM-Sidhis going deep into individual consciousness, and doing so in the sacred Himalayas, a formula destined to have a lasting impact on bringing accelerated peace and harmony in world consciousness.

As a long term member of the Maharishi Purusha Program, I arrived with the first group of Purusha in 1999, with the numbers having now grown to over 100. Purusha is committed to their personal goal to attain Brahman Consciousness, and the delightful side effect of the process will transform the family of nations away from suffering and conflict in the direction of the ultimate goal; world peace and heaven on earth.
